• Question: What would happen if you mixed nitrogen with helium

      Nitrogen and helium are both gases and neither are reactive so they would just mix in the air as they do when you burst a helium balloon. The balloon bursts and the helium mixes with the nitrogen in the air with no reaction.

      However, if you were to mix oxygen and hydrogen with a source of fire it would create an explosion. This reaction powers rockets to send them into space!
