I would say that concrete (a mixture of water, rock, sand, or gravel and cement) is the most often used material!

In fact I found out that twice as much concrete is used around the world than the total of all other building materials combined, including wood, steel, plastic, and aluminum!

Different materials are used in different industries. In the biomedical industry, titanium and cobalt-chromium are mostly used to create implants such as hip and knee replacements!

Difficult to answer this – the air we and other organisms breathe – do you consider gas a material? I do!
