Do you like science and maths? Do you find them interesting? Do you know what kind of work you would like to do or are you still trying to work that out? I would look at all the different courses that exist and see what gets you excited. For me, I really wanted to be able to apply science, not just find out about everything – i wanted to use it to make things – get them made and make a difference.
Not knowing you at all, I couldn’t advise you to study one thing or another – just take a good look at everything that is out there, what is in the colleges and make your judgement then

As a scientist you will have failures – my tip is to push through. Even failed experiments mean something – it’s all about learning and applying what you learned to the next new thing, so just keep pushing through and don’t give up! You have to be pretty stubborn to stay a scientist, in my opinion.
