A big issue is getting companies to use the new materials we’ve discovered and worked on! They are very reluctant to change what they’re doing and it generally takes 10-15 years for the materials we’re studying in the lab to make an impact in products or devices in the market.

They way we solve that issue is by working closely with the company and convincing them that the new materials will be better for them for a huge range of reasons. This is what AMBER tries to achieve by having close links with industry partners!
