Question: What obstacles did u have to face when becoming a scientist?

Exams were the major obstacle I had to face in college when becoming a scientist, we had exams every year and they required a large amount of study, paying for rent in Dublin was also quite challenging so I had to work on the weekends and during the summer which was difficult!
For my PhD, the obstacles were failing experiments, equipment which would often break, and having to write a 150-200 page thesis about the research I had done over the past 4 years and then defend it’s contents to two professors in an interview called a Viva.
