      Nanomaterials are things which are less than 100 nanometers big. A nanometer is one billionth of a meter. If you look at your ruler you see it has centimeters (cm) and millimeters (mm), if you divide a millimeter a million more times you have nanometers. Your fingernails grow about 1 nanometer every second!
      Nanomaterials are really interesting because their small size gives them really different and exciting behaviors, which we can use new materials!
      Nanomaterials are important in physics, chemistry and biology, if you want to know how specifically, ask me another question about it!
