• Question: is it possible to have more than 4 states in a quantum computer?

      Yes! The amount of states depends on the amount of qubits in the quantum computer.
      2 quibits have 4 states, 3 quibits have 8 states, this scales like 2^n states, where n is the number of qubits! (2^2=4, 2^3=8)

      Google announced earlier in the year, the most amount of qubits in a 72-qubit universal quantum computer!

      This means that the supercomputer could be in 2^72 states! or the same as 4.7223665E+21classical bits!
